Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park

Happy Halloween, all! This week, we’ve got a treat for you as Confessions reader and fellow DisNerd Crystal so graciously shared a few pictures she took while attending Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park!

Looks like a fun party with just a few of your closest friends!

Crystal (Jessie) and her parents, dressed up for the occasion!

Thanks for the pictures, Crystal. Looks like you and your family had a blast!

I’ve never been to one of these events myself, but it looks like a lot of fun. What about you, dear readers? Have you attended a Halloween party, either at Disneyland or Walt Disney World? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. As someone that has been at every single Disneyland’s Mickey’s Halloween Party for the past 2 years, I can speak with some authority. This event is definitely worth the price, even if you have an annual pass. You can easily get 25 lbs of candy and snacks (not an exaggeration, I weighed my haul this year from one party and it was 25 lbs). The lines for the rides are very short. And the Halloween Screams fireworks are worth the ticket price alone, easily the best show that Disneyland has ever had. Annual Passholders get discounts on the tickets too, and this year there was an AP event during the party where you got a bag, rice crispy treat, and there were screenings of Halloween Silly Symphonies and Mickey Mouse shorts. If you’re not an AP, you can enter the park 3 hours before the party begins, making a total of 8 hours of Disneyland for less than a day ticket price. Plus, you can dress up. Definitely lots of fun.

  2. I had a blast! This was my first one and I’m already planning on doing it again sometime in the near future. I know it’s not cheap, but I think for the overall experience that it was definitely worth the price. Seeing everyone dressed up at Disneyland enjoying the fireworks, picking up candy, and enjoying the parade and the rides? What’s not to like? One of the other perks is because they limit the number of tickets sold the lines for the rides were never more than 15 minutes long. Riding in costume = awesome!
